I was wondering whether having Do Not Track Me and Easy Privacy list for Adblock Plus is redundant? In addition, is the Malware Domains List fairly comprehensive? the reason I ask is, if I disable Easy Privacy and Malware Domains, I notice Firefox in fact runs a bit quicker.

    Thanks!

There would surely be some overlap. I use both Adblock Plus (EasyList and EasyPrivacy) and Ghostery together.

EasyList+EasyPrivacy filter sets are not enough to stop tracking by social media buttons. That's why, as siljaline suggests, more is needed than just EasyList+EasyPrivacy. EasyList+EasyPrivacy block as much as possible without reducing website functionality.

You can remove Fanboy's social blocking list when you have annoyance list.

Fanboy's Ultimate list is the only filter needed.:thumb:

I note most of these rate most entries scoring false-positives. I don't have a lot of time reporting in a Forum why your list did or did not allow me to connect to a website. Your mileage may vary.

Using that and "Anti-Adblock Killer | Filters for Adblockers". I don't think DNTM is necessary, but NoScript is sure beneficial.

I've not encountered any fps so far. Besides Fanboy Ultimate List includes Easylist, Easyprivacy, Enhanced Trackers List and Annoyances List. No worries.:)

Ah you mean http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/155840, right? Nice find. I only followed step 3 in the instructions and subscribed filter. Will that do? Are the websites listed on that page all that the filter offers? The list is small I would say.

You'll need to follow the rest of the steps for it to work properly. Otherwise, you could try the smaller "Adblock Warning Removal List" instead. The list is plenty big imo, there aren't a lot of websites blocking adblockers yet.

Oh I see. I don't want to install Greesemonkey and userscript. I only use three add-ons in FF and I don't intend on increasing the number any further.

Where can I find it? Googled but couldn't find it. Any link?

Oh I see. Then it okay.:)

Oh silly me!:D How's the list compared to the Anti-Adblock Killer? You said Adblock Warning Removal List is smaller but is it good enough?

Don't know, this is hard to test without knowing a list of such websites you may visit. I just chose the more comprehensive solution.

Oh I see. Then I'll just install greesemonkey for FF and follow the full steps to get Anti-Adblock Killer. Thanks for introducing a useful filter.:):thumb:

No, it's not! You just have to add the link I provided to your filter subscriptions so you will get updates for that list.

Look at your picture some posts above: Select the tab "Filter subscriptions" and click "Add filter subscription". Select "Add other subscription" (or whatever it's called in the English version).

On a TPL or ABP block list that clearly states high risk of false-positives - one should be very concerned - just because you like it doesn't mean we should be bricking site lookups via a finicky ABP list :D
