Is there any way I can create a rescue disk that will mount drives attached to an Adaptec 39160 or 39320 SCSI card?

    Hello acarter,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software.

Assuming that the software is unable to recognize the hard drives connected to the PC via Adaptec 39160 or 39320 SCSI card, I can recommend you to do the following:

First of all, please make sure that you use the latest build of the software.

The updates for the homecomputing software are available at:
    http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/support/updates/

The updates for the corporate solutions can be found at:
    http://www.acronis.com/enterprise/support/updates/

To get access to updates you should create an account at:
    http://www.acronis.com/my/
then log in and use your serial number to register your software.

After installing the update please create new Bootable Rescue CD and see whether the problem still persists.

If the problem still persists then please try the workaround with acpi=off noapic as it is described in Acronis Help Post.

If that does not help the please create Acronis Report and Linux system information (sysinfo.txt file) as it is described in Acronis Help Post.

Send these files to support@acronis.com along with the link to this thread. We will investigate the problem and try to provide you with the solution.

    Thank you.
