Is there any way to manually add this domain to the list of blocked sites within spywarebalster.

The only custom blocking option I can see is for activex components.

    thanks for any advice.

That is basically what spywareblaster does is block activeX with killbits placed in the registry.

I understand that part but is it possible to manually add domains, not just the activex component ?

I am not sure how it will block it if it doesn't set activeX killbits against it?

It does this by adding a subkey for each site to be blocked to HKCU\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\internet settings\zonemap\domains containing a value "*" with its value data set to 0x00000004

It would indeed be nice if the option was there in SB, but alternatively you can manually add the site in question to your Restricted Sites in Internet Options/Security
