Can someone explain how Sandboxie works in regards to Active X files? I am a member of an online skillgame site. As a cash player you must agree to use the sites Active X game controller (all major cash game sites require this) . I have been playing there for 4 yrs. with no problems.
I just downloaded Sandboxie and chose to use Chrome within it. I logged on to my account and found a game to play. A notice popped up that says i must install the Active X game controller to proceed.
It is installed and I had just played sucessfully minutes before without using Sandboxie. Do I download it again? I assume the game site cant see it in Sandboxie.
    Thank you

    Hi Sile, weklcome to Wilders.

Sorry don't game on-line and avoid Active X when I can so have not had to solve a similar problem.

However you could try using the Resource Access Monitor (http://www.sandboxie.com/index.php?ResourceAccessMonitor) which will tell you (or others who know about the programme) if Sandboxie is blocking access to your game controller. From there you will likely be able to open a hole in the sandbox so the browser can see the controller, if that is what is happening, with some help from the experts on the SBIE forum. (http://www.sandboxie.com/phpbb/).

I've assumed its just a default sandbox with no customisation. If you've changed the settings let us know how as that may be contributing.

    Cheers
