active x question

    hi all

    when you install stuff like flash in IE isn't it surpossed to drop a file in to the downloaded program files folder which will let you configure some options for the active x control in question ??

    because to try an experiment I tried installing flash in IE when to the download programs files folder but its empty even though flash is working ok

    any one know why nothing is appearing in the download programs files folder ?

    im running win 98 se
