Acronis True Image Home 2010 Error Disk

    Hi:
    I am receiving the following error when I try to backup:
    "Failed to read form sector 63 of hard disk 7
    Retry | Ignore | Ignore All | Cancel "

    I know that I can format the drive, but I would like a less drastic solution if one exists. Thank you

    Run Windows chkdsk with the /r switch from a command box. If the disk is the one that has Windows on it then you'll have to accept the message that pops up asking if you want to schedule the disk check the next time you boot the PC.

    Start Button\Run\"cmd" - don't enter the quotes, it's just to show what you need to type.

    Then

    chkdsk drive letter: /r

    It is probably TI having a problem - rather than a disk error itself, but run checkdisk just to make sure.
