Acronis True Image Home 2009: installation hangs

Hi

I have installed Acronis True Image Home 2009 on a Vista Ultimate 64bit machine, I noticed that istallation procedure doesn't finish... simply "hangs" after put Acronis launch icon on desktop.
It's not a "freeze", hard disks work continuosly, pc works but installation procedure do not exit, I have to kill it manually... after ONE HOUR !
Same issue with uninstallation procedure: have to kill process and reboot.
Acronis True Image Home 2009 works but sometimes doesn't start and hangs during partition scanning.

How I can fix ?

First of all, please make sure that you are using the latest build of Acronis True Image. If the build number differs from the latest one, please download and install the latest build. You can learn more on how to download the latest build here

If you already have the latest build, please install SnapAPI380 update file available here, reboot the computer to complete the changes and see if the issue remains.
