Acronis® True Image Echo Workstation VS Acronis True Image 9.1 Workstation

    Can someone tell me the difference between Acronis True Image Echo Workstation and Acronis True Image 9.1 Workstation? Is there a link on the Acronis site that explains the difference? Is it worth upgrading from True Image 9.1 Workstation? Thanks for any info.

    Howdy,

    I can describe two differences I noticed immediately:

    First, with Echo, there is the ability to schedule a task for Validation and that was not available in TIW.

    Also, for a backup & validate task that typically took me under three hours, Echo estimates 1 Day - 2 Hours.

    As I click away here, I am restoring an image from before I installed Echo.

    Thanks for the info. So Kenneth, are you finding that Echo is taking considerably longer to complete?

    True Image 9.1 Workstation works with my Quantum DDS4 DAT Drive, Echo does not recognize the drive exists.

    Problem is being worked by Acronis Support, but currently Echo has been removed and 9.1 is back on.

    I believe Echo Workstation v9.5 supports Vista whereas v9.1 doesn't.

    While that's correct insofar as installing the respective products, there shouldn't be a problem backing up and restoring a Vista partition with a v9.1 Rescue CD. ;)
