When using the Acronis provided CD-ROM or when using the created Boot Recovery Disk I get the same two error messages and don't know whether they will impack a final restoration or not. I'm using build 768 and have been unable to l download 800. I keep getting returned to the login page. Yes I have cookies enabled, but use a proxy called cookie cop. It works with virtually all sites. Errors follow:

"usb C: USB device not acccepting new address=9 (error=-32)" - although program seems to continue on ok.

"Failed to read from Sector 0 of the hard disk 0" - retry does not cause any response and I have to hit cancel twice, which brings me to a lpage which looks like I can initiate recoveries. Norton Disk DOctor checks out ok.

Anyone experienced these before? I'm using XP Pro on a ThinkPad and have created a set of images on USB 2.0 Maxtor external drives. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.

    Hello qaps,

Thank you for choosing Acronis True Image (http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/products/trueimage/).

You need to get the latest build because it contains several fixes in Acronis Bootable CD. Please make sure you have registered at http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/registration/ and if so please try to download the latest build from http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/support/updates/ Please note that you may download the latest build using any computer you wish (in case you have problems with Internet connection at home).

    Thank you.

I tried to do the download with version 4.7 of Netscape on a Win95 machine and that worked. I'll install it on the intended WInXPPro machine and see if the errors are cleared up.
