I'd guess there is a Linux driver problem on the new computer.

I don't know whether BartPe works with your version of TI.

    Hello zinni,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software.

We are sorry for the delayed response.

First of all, please make sure the Bootable CD is created with the latest build (350) of Acronis True Image 6.0. To get access to updates you should first register your software.

Please also try booting with "acpi=off noapic" parameter as it is described in Acronis Help Post.

Note that since you are using the old version of Acronis True Image (version 8.0 or lower) you should press F11 button when the "Starting Acronis Loader..." message appears and not when the selection screen appears (Acronis True Image 6.0 Bootable Rescue CD does not have any selection screen).

I would also recommend that you download and install the free trial version of Acronis True Image 10.0 Home. Please create a new Acronis True Image Bootable Rescue CD using the trial version of Acronis True Image 10.0 Home and see how it works on your computer. Additional information on creating bootable media can be found in the Chapter 10 of Acronis True Image User Guide. Note that Acronis True Image 10.0 Home is compatible with image archives created with the previous versions of the program.

If the issue persists with the Acronis True Image Bootable Rescue CD created using the trial version of Acronis True Image 10.0 Home, please create Acronis Report and Linux system information (sysinfo.txt) as it is described in Acronis Help Post. Then submit a request for technical support. Attach all the collected files and information to your request along with the step-by-step description of the actions taken before the problem appears and the link to this thread. We will investigate the problem and try to provide you with a solution.

You could find information about some new features of Acronis True Image 10.0 Home in this previous post of mine.

    Thank you.
