    32 Error 1/8/09 8:03:36 PM Failed to read data from the disk.A possible reason might be bad sectors on the disk.
    33 Error 1/8/09 8:03:36 PM Operation with partition "VolGroup00-LogVol00" was terminated.
    Details:
    Read error (0x70003)
    Tag = 0xA5695862AAF8E412
    TEXT_LINEX_ERROR_COMMON_LEGACY_IO (0x590001)
    Tag = 0x7AB2ECA390DEE2F0
    34 Error 1/8/09 8:03:36 PM Operation has completed with errors.

    ...This happens frequently ..and its starting to get irritating. I have yet to go more than 1 week without this write error occurring.

    The data is being written to brand-spanking new WD MyBook 500 GB USB externals.

    I have run diagnostics on all of them. They check out fine.

    Any ideas?

    is it possible that you have too long filenames?

    What version and build of TI are you using? From the log, it looks like you're running it from Linux and backing up a Linux system (or part of it).

    Are you doing the backup from the TI CD or from the OS?

    Also, it looks like a read error to me:
    Code:
    32 Error 1/8/09 8:03:36 PM [COLOR="Red"]Failed to read data from the disk.[/COLOR]A possible reason might be bad sectors on the disk.
    It might also help to know the layout of your partitions (type, format, size, etc.) and the OS being used.
