Acronis TIH 2011 clone disk

    Does somenone know how acronis 2011 clones a disk?

    Is the disk copied sector by sector? or only the used sectors copied?
    I know that i can chose the method if i create an image but i could not decide while doing the clone disk.

    What i really want to know is the following if i clone a drive to a new drive, will there be leftovers from the old files? Could someone with advanced restoring capabilities make those files seen again?
