I have a Toshiba laptop which has a dual-boot (propriety software that boots up to a CD/DVD player without loading Windows).

If I create a Secure Zone and alter the MBR, would that affect this?

    Hello Anon,

If you only create the Secure Zone then TI doesn't alter the Master Boot Record (MBR). However, if you accept the default option to also "Activate Acronis Startup Recovery Manager" then, yes, it will. Activating the Startup Recovery Manager will overwrite the Toshiba's special MBR with TI's own modified version in order to implement TI's "Press F11 to boot into Recovery Mode" feature.

    Regards
