I have just installed the disk director suite and i see an 'Install OS Selector' shortcut, so i do.
I reboot, it comes up with the OS Selector, all i see is an Unknown Operating System.
    I had windows vista installed.

So i try to deactivate it, then i would restart and windows said "txtsetup.sif error 14"

I put in the Windows Vista cd, system restore doesn't fix it nor does the diagnostic tool.

    So what do i do?

Have you tried to uninstall OSS by booting from the DD cd?

Also, have you booted from the Vista DVD and done a repair?
Is your Vista DVD a normal retail DVD or a standard OEM DVD or is it a Brand DVD (HP, Dell, etc.)?

If you are not booting multiple OS's then there is no reason to install OSS. It is still quite buggy with Vista (not to mention XP).
