    Hi,

I have scheduled an incremental backup every day.
The size of backup is about 2GB for the incremental part. The size of full backup is about 22GB.
The Backup type is "Personal Data"

At the phase 2 of 3 (Validating Backup) acronis show "Task Failed" EVERYTIME
In the log tab it write this:
    File Damaged 0x4000D, Tag = 0xC847B314771C5F00

    Have you any solution?

    Thanks

    Hello vlmarr,

Thank you for using Acronis True Image

What is the build number of the program? You can check it navigating mouse cursor to upper line of the program then press ALT + left mouse button -> Help -> About

Do you perform the operation under Windows or under Acronis Booting Rescue Media?

Could you please clarify where the backup file is placed (whether it's on internal, external, or network hard drive)?

Also please attach the entire log file to your post.

    Thank you.

    Hi,

    My Build number is 9.333
The backup is performed on Windows XP Professional SP3
I Have 3 Harddisk, in each drive I have 1 partition.
I have to backup DATA (no partition) contained in the 2nd drive to the 3rd.
All drives are internal, and identical. Seagate 500GB Sata2 with 32MB Cache

Source = all folder in D:\*
    Destination = E:\Backup\[Backup-Name].tib

    Thank you very much

First, I have tried to format the source unit, then recopy the files.
    But when...

I have re-tried (after format) to save the archive to same position of source
At the end of the process Acronis say: "Cannot open file on removable device"
    but the device is internal.

    There are the log file.

    The file wasn't written

    Thank you

    Hello vlmarr,

Thank you for using Acronis True Image Home 2009

First of all please make sure that you are using the latest build of the program. Check it in Help -> About. You can always download the latest build of the program from your account under Registered Products.

If the issue persists I would recommend you to check hard drive for errors. Could you please check the disks for errors:

    - Go to the Command Prompt (Start -> Run -> cmd)
    - Enter the command: "chkdsk DISK: /r" (where DISK is the partition letter you need to check) for every partition that is visible in My Computer. Please note, that checking the C: drive may require you to reboot the machine.

If the issue persists update Acronis scheduler using the following article

    Best regards,

    I have the last build.
Now, i try to validate an archive with a validation task and acronis validate it.
But if i schedule the backup and the validation (In the option of the task) it fails.

    Hello all,

Thank you for using Acronis True Image

    vlmarr,

Just curious, could you please let me know the language of Acronis program you use?

To resolve the issue please do the below things:

    - please download Acronis Scheduler, which is a special utility to update the scheduler service. The link is available here

Extract the downloaded file, run install.bat and wait for the process to be completed. The utility will automatically update the service. Reboot the computer and re-create the task.

    - Please install SnapAPI380 update file available here, reboot the computer to complete the changes and see if the issue remains.

    Thank you.
