    /ST is for stealth I believe, updating in the background and not showing any progress windows etc.

    There was a thread earlier this day about this, but I seem to have missed it!

    What do I need to change in the drweb.ini file to not scan at startup?
    Set these to No:
    TestMemory = Yes
    TestStartup = Yes

    or only TestStartup to No?

    Thank U! *puppy*

    It is lighter than Avira. The new Avira runs heavier on my machine, and I prefer Dr. Web for that reason.

    this forum is biased!
    Why.... 'once again' are the avira fanboys hijacking other AV threads?

    .... So it doesn't just come from one guy, does it?

    Read what I said: I said Avira is heavier on "my machine"-not all machines or your machine. But, I would also venture to say Dr. Web is lighter on most machines- including yours.

    They have a crew of promoters all over. I like Avira, but have had problems with the new version. Dr. Web runs much better on my machine- end of story.

    I've had drw since september of 2007. Number of errors since then: 0, crashes: 0, other problems: 0. I'll probably buy another two years in 2009.

    You got it. Simple, light, and effective protection. It does not slow down your machine as most do. And, I have not had malware get on my machine either which is the key factor. :thumb:

    Given it's going on three months since the thread starter had any further input and given that another thread has done it's usual decline in regards to post content, We'll put this puppy to bed.
