   In other words, nothing new. Clients like Thunderbird and online services like Outlook don't load remote content by default anyway.
   
   Also keep in mind that some online services proxy remote content to protect you. Others don't in which case browser extensions like ABP can block them. In Thunderbird you can install the ABP extension.
