    it like finds 809 cookies and it just crashes.

    No reason no error message.

    but when i did it in the begining through wizard a error occured and said to report it i was do in it but did not allow me?

    The thing is i uninstalled it sry.

    I will wait for the free version.

    As the free version scanner is the same right but without realtime.

    i saw the comparison and the scanner is the same only difrence is paid has realtime protection auto update and some other things.

    But the detection is the same.

    and 2.0 free is better than 1.6.5 free right?

    The cookies are the problem i think.

    A little update regarding a-squared HiJackFree 2 ...

    We decided to extend HiJackFree a little bit to add an own "Quarantine" for deleted applications and entries. Implementing that additional functions will take some time. It should be released shortly after a-squared free version 2 :).

    Version 2 seems a bit too rough around the edges to be ready for prime time. As already mentioned, it uses a ton of RAM. Also, it won't save custom scan settings (acts like it's saving, but it does NOT save). Also, the right click scan doesn't work. I right-clicked on a folder then clicked on "A-squared" on the pop-up menu. HD briefly showed a red light but nothing came up. After about 20 seconds, I tried again to get A-squared to do a right-click scan & it locked up my computer. IMO a lock-up following a simple right click scan request is NOT what should happen with a final version.

    @bellgamin:
    We fixed several Windows 9x specific bugs with the context menu handler today. So if you are using Windows 9x or ME could you please test if the problem remains? Thanks :).

    Can you reproduce the problem? Any chance to get a bugreport? :)

    Thanks for the fast action, Andreas. I noticed a lot of programmatic updates in today's download of A-squared stuff.

    The right-click issue is fixed. GREAT!

    The problem that still remains is as follows: A-squared won't save custom scan settings.

    My OS is WinME.

    The scanset bug is not critical so it might take 2 or 3 days to release a patch :).

    @bellgamin:
    The changelog for today's build includes:

    - Fixed Win98 support: writing and reading INI files (like 'save scanset' in the scanner)

    :)

    Thanks again Andreas. A-squared has graduated from the realm of "excellent" to become "truly superb!"

    USA still the best. But barely.
    Imo a2 is finally reaching the excellence of it's predecessor. Anybody remember AntiTrojon? With the spinning trojan horse. Way back when.

    Anyways the 1st a2 free with the registration BS was a pia. With v2 free I am impressed. Keep it up a2. :D
