Is this a good anti-trojan program, or is it too new for comment?

    Thanks,
    Jerry

    Hi jer03,

I think you find some very applicable comments in this thread which is only a few days old at this point:

It may indeed be to early to tell just how good this product will be. The author has said he still has more signatures to add among other things, so a bit more time may be need to see how it goes.

    Hi : LowWaterMark ,

Thanks for the thread. I didn't understand all that I read, but it was good information.

I am not sure if I should install it at this time. I am not very competent with this type of stuff. Of course I know I can get any help I need here.

A²Free Final release is available at the A² download page.

Very easy to use scanner. I would recommend you give it a try. :)

    Cheers,

    Trev.

But until now don't use it as a primary scanner. There are 2 main reasons:

    1. Only the weak fingerprints are implemented as signatures at the moment. It will cost time to build up the strong signatures :).
    2. Several malware types like worms or older trojans aren't implemented yet.

There will be a big "Hello here I am" as soon as all signatures are implemented ... so don't worry you could miss the point of time ;).

I downloaded it and scanned my computer this PM. I encountered no problems or conflictsl. The scan showed no malware.
