Just out of curiousity, when Avast releases its newer version of AV software (when ever that is), would this mean their current 4.6 Pro version will go Free to replace their current Free 4.6 version ?

Both Home and Pro are the same AV, Pro has more options as described Here

When Pro updates a version Home goes with it.

No, you're missing the philosophy of their developement.
Both products are based on exactly the same program. They even upgrade and improve them at the same time. When avast! 4.7 Professional (or 5.x) is released, so does Home Edition of the very same version.
There won't be any "better" avast! that would replace 4.6 Pro when it gets older. It's not like in lets say Agnitum's case where they offered Outpost 1.0 for free but Outpost 2.0 was payable.

    Hi Rajzor,
Just curious, can you tell me why do all of your postings have an edit by Happy Bytes, and what was removed?

Sorry if this has been asked before!

    Cheers,

    Thorny
