According to Acronis, on this forum, in reference toa particular bug in ATI 10:

"Most likely, a new build of Acronis True Image 10.0 Home including this fix will be released."

This doesn't confirm that any or which probs in 10 will be fixed, but it does indicate that Acronis is at least thinking of another build of 10. After 10 was first released, one last build of 9 was subsequently released. So maybe we have one more shot at 10 being improved, as opposed to being dressed up with some added features and called a new version. To be honest, that interests me more than a fixed 11, at this point. It would also help Acronis to earn back some of the respect it has lost with the New Coke called version 11.

And for those that do not know, the above reference to "New Coke" refers to the attempt by Coca Cola to bring out a new coke soft drink. The new one fell flat on its face in a very short time.

Another way to look at it, New Coke was a changed version of the old Coke--basically, like Pepsi, it had more sugar than the old coke. In the market place it was learned that the way to fix New Coke was to take out the extra sugar and drop "New" from its name, i.e., make it just like old coke. New Coke wasn't realy an upgrade; it was one of the most notorious screw-the-pooch events in American marketing history.

This would be great if true.

Was there any estimate of the time before this release might be available? I doubt that there was, but it doesn't hurt to ask.

The last build of TI 9 was released on December 11th, 2006 (TI 10 was released around mid-October, I think).

So maybe by the end of the year...

Will that give them enough time to write a detailed change log? They have said somewhere that future builds will be so documented.

Here it is, in case they forget...

It's funny they mention Vista Certification in the response. TI 10 doesn't restore Vista partitions correctly, so how did it pass certification?

I have been using ATI 10 with Vista Ultimate - no back up or restore problems. I back up and restore the entire drive.

ATI 11, well - I got my refund today.

    I vote for Pepsi too.

Ironically, I've been a life-long Pepsi fan and when New Coke came out they actually got me as a new customer. Another good Coke product was Coke with Lime. Both were flops and were pulled off the market. Oh well, back to Pepsi.
