a little help....

    I have just run into a very infected system.

    Useing a trojan a remote control system was installed to allow the non-authorised user to download movies onto the unsuspecting users system. firedaemon was used to control the system, but they also prevented firedaemon from being noticed by disableing several win2k features. I think they installed a utility by DameWare to control the behaviour of 2k so ping and several other utilitys are disabled.

    Ok I have disabled the services and removed the trojans etc
    ping is still useless, and I still cant get the taskmanager to run.

    any ideas??

    have you run TDS 3 and

    when it's has run post the scandump log that you can make and someone will advise
