Read an article, about a month ago, forget which magazine (Kiplinger’s or Smart Money?), about identity theft done on computer. It is growing by leaps and bounds because it is a very safe crime to commit. Instead of risking yourself by burglarizing homes, you can kick back, open up a beer in the safety of your own home and start clicking away. Only 10% of identity thieves (those using pcs to do the crime) were caught last year. Only a very small percentage of those caught actually went to trial. And if you actually do go to trial and the judge throws the book at you, maximum sentence, all you can get is one year (USA). Everyone PROTECT YOURSELVES, no one else is going to.
