A couple of AVG Questions?

Spysweeper keeps popping up with AVG 7.5 is attempting to make changes to a hosts file while trying to download updates.

What is up with this?

Should I block or allow this?

Also a full system scan is over 1 hour long and I don't remember it being that long with ewido?

Yes, I see the older thread but it does not help me.

Spysweeper pops up every hour or so saying that AVG 7.5 is trying to change my host file.

This happens all the time.

It also happens when AVG is updating.

If I hit allow or block it does not matter, it keeps making spysweeper pop up.

How can I fix this problem?

Never had this trouble with ewido 4.0.

It happens every hour because AVG-AS is set to auto-update every hour.

It happens every update because AVG-AS is checking its Host file entry to ensure the correct connection for its server is in place and has not been tampered with by malware attempting to prevent you updating.

It was the same for ewido 4.

As has been explained, you should configure SS to allow the action.
