    I use it all the time. I HAVE used the template before and it did work. But I primarily use it for setting the startup of services.

    If memory serves, I think someone said you could create another hardware profile, and it kept the services currently set intact. So you could try that. Create a second hardware profile, and in it disable one service or something. Then load the other profile and see if the service has changed or not. I am almost certain that I saw that somewhere.

    I have done that many times as well. Nothing teaches you like seeing something in question and having to research what the heck it is and does. Funny, I know more now than I did then, yet pay less attention now than I did then, and probably have less problems now.

    to export the service from regfile

    Code:
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services]
    to export?
    i tried to export and re-import but it gave me an error

    in the black viperhttp://www.blackviper.com/ there are some regfiles to import for example safe or default

    but i don't know if i have xp sp2 or sp3
    i bought xp pro sp2 and i updated everything outisde the cumulative SP3

    Be my guest. If you associate a shortcut with your .cmd programs, you might want to front-end them with something like this:

    @echo on

    start " TaskList NetStat " /MAX "%USERPROFILE%\cmdfile-location\cmdfile-name.cmd"

    exit

    Nice. Here is a little something in return.

    CommandLineHelp.bat

    @echo off
    start hh.exe ms-its:ntcmds.chm::/ntcmds.htm
    Exit

    One of my most used.

    I just tried it. Very nice addon when you are only interested in knowing what is
    running under svchost. No install necessary making it portable too. Yes, I
    realize that Proc Mon shows this information too, but there's no source for
    PM :D

    Thanks, Al
