I must be doing something wrong...

Using Acronis True Image 8.0 (Build 903) , I am given an estimate of 8 hours to back up a 120GB partition to a network drive using no compression.

Am I wrong to think that this is a tad slow?

    Thanks in advance,

    Clyph

Have you actually started this B/U? Sometimes the estimated time shows as really high, but then drops rapidly as the B/U starts.

    Yes, it's running...

After almost two hours it says I have 7 hours left.

    clyphstole,

    It may be normal.

How much data is in your 120 GB partition? What is the actual speed (mbits/second) of your network when copying a single large file (greater than 100 MB)?

    Hello clyphstole,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software.

Does you try to create image in Windows or in Acronis Rescue Media? Could you please let us know what backup compression level you select? Also please try to create image to your internal hard drive and tell us the estimated time showing when the image creation process starts.

    Thank you.
