The new rules welcome but It looks as if Verizon is going to share it's enterprise users information with hackers, Friday it was announced they were hacked. http://www.dslreports.com/shownews/...siness-Customers-Had-Their-Data-Stolen-136576
This all seems to circle around the idea of “opt in” and consent. All these companies have to do is make opting out to be so undesirable that it basically forces customers to consent. Obviously if that tactic was exposed there would probably be a huge lawsuit, but I’m sure with the right language it could be disguised as something appearing to be okay. Whatever though… the ISP who basically has a monopoly over service here (there really aren't other options) has enough local connection problems and other reliability issues that they can’t seem to administer their own equipment in a way that ensures functionality. If they can’t do that they probably can’t collect data too well either lol.
