Wow!! 360 TS has definately grown since my last reply here.Is there still issues with BD and avira engine been outdated??

 

It doesn't really matter. The AV is mostly cloud based.

Anyway, funny another new version of TS. And TS got it's own website. Meanwhile some people still insist 360IS is being developed, even though no new builds in almost a year.

Looking at the version numbers, your link is the same as the one released in Jan, or just has very minor changes. Based on their numbering, a real new version would be 5.0.0. (which oddly is around where 360TS has been at and surpassed)

Just minor bug fixes and optimizations, nothing revolutionary.
As for v5 of the IS, cannot comment on that.
Anything I learn regarding IS, I put it here, I'm at work, cannot go into history, but I assume I did not mention v5.
I bet 50 bucks I wrote it will still be supported and maintained, something like that.

What's all the Level rubbish? And is this IS or TS? And how the hell did we get to 10 when 5 isn't even out yet.

 

Chinese version, not international.
Levels are cosmetic, it shows how active you are in using the program and you get points.
Like in Super Mario, collect coins, same here, click here, click there, clean this and that, level points.
Same for their forum too.... I find it entertaining

 

IO'm guessing it's not just an anti virus then since an anti virus should be a set and forget program.

Nope, it is their version of "total", virus scan, junk and registry cleanup, speedup, mobile phone management, shopping protection, installed programs updater, and many many more tools.... Skins are awesome too...

I have a feeling that another update will be coming soon. Although they did indeed resolve the time lag issue in the Cleanup module, they failed to re-implement the clearing of the recycle bin.

 

Hey guys, since last update 5.2.0.1072 I don't have anymore the notifications about Online Shopping sites and download safe files.
This on three PC, one with XP and two with Win7 64 bit.

EDIT: There is nobody in this forum?

 

I am always lurking here and there when I got the time.
I will reproduce both scenarios during the day and if true, will report asap.

well it seems the latest TS sandbox has issues with sandboxed browsers. No browser can be ran in it and gives an crash error. Even the 360 browser did it. SO I uninstalled TS. the sandboxed browsers worked well in the older versions. SO I think there is a bug.

Does it mean this can be installed alongside with any antivirus?

Also I got other questions: It doesn't seem to auto-quarantine/block threats and asks users. No setting for that (except one which should make it auto-decide but it does not).
Is it sufficient to install it without Avira/BD engines and rely on cloud?

 

The Recycle Bin cleanup fix still not implemented in this version. Guess 1075 will be forthcoming.

 

1: Probably non-HIPS/BB on Balanced mode. On security with BD/AV and another such as avast, comodo, kaspersky and the like is an overkill and could produce more bad than good.
Stick with the simple setup.
2: Active Protection>Action on threat detection>Let me determine an action
3: I would suggest security if 2GB+ Ram, if less, then switch from Balanced to Avira engine [custom] based on your PC performance requirements. Cloud is sufficient for normal usage. Security for torrenting/porn/riskware stuff. Use Sandbox just in case for Balanced mode. Have fun.

Yes but when first option is activated, it still displayed popup that asked what to do. What about automatic quarantine? It was supposed to do that...

 

GG- I actually use the Select All function in Cleanup, but either way it still doesn't empty the Bin. Have you tried this on your system?
