2020 search site??

    i do not know if this has been researched
    but i made the mistake of clicking on this web site
    and it was not pretty nasty :'( :'(
    caused a heck of a lot of problems
    not to mention took over my whole system(home page..ect)

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\2020Search\Popupmanager

    took me over a half hour to get it to stop!! and un-installed.
    anyways to add this to SpyBlaster??
    i cannot locate it as of yet and i dont really want to find it?? if you know what i mean!!

    Well, the 2020Search Toolbar that I found, mentions the following in their privacy statement:

    So it would seem that the toolbar, at least, while allowing updates behind your back, doesn't track the sites you browse (according to the EULA).

    Did you have a toolbar installed in your browser? Or was it something else? (i.e. was it a simple hijack, or was it the toolbar available on the 2020search site?)

    They also list a whole load of email addresses, NONE of which work. A Whois search brings up an office on 250 Montgomery San Fransico, which also happens to be the address listed for Shopnav. I think it is criminal damage. The hours I have spent trying to remove this junk, which I never asked for and now controls my browser........AArgh!
