<g> Just barely saw that thing was available right before starting to install the previous beta!

D/l'ed and installed over-the-top just fine, it automatically updated itself fine.

Checked through the settings for the new stuff, okayed the "Early Warning System" to run (yes, I trust Eset un-equivocally), went ahead and put checkmarks in "Potentially dangerous applications" everywhere I could find it, check-marked "Optimize Scanning" and made sure to set everything back to "Warn only" or "Prohibit access and show alert window.."

Then proceeded to run the "In-depth Analysis" without problems (scanned clean).

Attaching copy of "Information" panel just in case someone wants to look at it and make sure everything's as it should be on an o.t.t install of the beta.

Absolutely a great (on everything I've seen so far) job!

this new beta 2 seems to have cured my Eudora mail checking lag - both 2.12.3 and the 2.5 first public beta would almost lockup my machine while beginning a mail check, DESPITE Eudora.ini being placed on the exclusions list - most odd....

Advanced Heuristics notification popup in NOD32 (On-Demand) is still not fixed).
That notification dialog shows again even if i tick Do not show this anymore.

    Reply:
This works for me perfectly as supposed. After I ticked that checkbox, NOD32 didn't ask me to submit files anymore and then I noticed in the event log that the files were actually submitted automatically.

Next bug is in IMON HTTP i guess (AMON doesn't reproduce the same issue). I tried with EICAR on official and my mirror on www.security-ops.tk and i get several Terminate warning dialogs although i have clicked the link only once. When i click Terminate button, next dialog shows up.
Can anyone from ESET verify this?

    Reply:
This is how some borowsers work. If a file is being downloaded and the download process is interrupted (e.g. by terminating connection in IMON), they attempt to download the file again and again, several times.

    Thanks

    Looking good, ESET :D

Perhaps the new splash is a hint of a future stylistic overhaul of the interface? :ninja:

Some of the command buttons still overlap when running 120 DPI. This is a minor issue (from a user standpoint), because the buttons work fine.

    thanks.
    much obliged.

but a couple of the issues [viz : what do the updates fix? AND by installing newer build, I lose my updates?]

I'd also be really happy if anyone has tried running this AV in parallel successfully can post his comments.

I have the admin version. If I install the beta on top of it, will I retain the admin functionality? I am considering doing this because I have an ongoing problem with the mirror updates failing (because they kick off right after the admin PC wakes up from suspend but before the network is fully functional, I keep getting GetHostByName failures). I installed the beta on one of the client PC's and it has been running OK, but I would really like to solve these mirror update failures on the admin PC and was hoping the beta might help (but I do not want to lose the admin functionality).
