Hello All,
Just upgraded to TI9 from TI8 Personal. The main reason for upgrading was to get a solution that could support scheduled image creation. Anyway, set a schedule to run Sunday 01.30 (i.e. early this morning) and low and behold nothing happened. No error message in the log - actually nothing in the log. Questions: Does TI9 rely on the Windows task scheduler? Does TI9 have to be left running to make scheduled tasks run? Thanks Ian |

Same problem here... I scheduled a nightly backup of selected files/folders and it ran the first night but hasn't run since.

Hello Ian_H and Dav,
Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software. Please note that Acronis True Image has it's own scheduling service (schedhlp.exe) which is working independently from Windows build in scheduler. There is no need to leave Acronis True Image running in order to make scheduled tasks run. Could you please do the following? - Download and run schedmgr.exe application; - Issue the following commands: service stop service uninstall - Close schedmgr; - Replace schedhlp.exe and schedul2.exe files in the C:\Program Files\Common Files\Acronis\Schedule2 folder with the files from this ZIP archive. - Run schedmgr application once again; - Issue the following commands: service install service start - Close schedmgr; If the problem still persists then please do the following: - Open the command prompt (Start -> Run -> cmd); - Run the following command in the folder the schedmgr.exe file was saved to: schedmgr get report > schedreport.txt - Collect schedreport.txt; - Run Acronis Schedule Manager program (schedmgr.exe) one more; - Issue the following command: set logflags support - Schedule backup creation once again; - Wait until the scheduled task fail to execute; - Collect the log file schedul2.log that is placed in the \Program Files\Common Files\Acronis\Schedule2 folder; Please also create Acronis Report and Windows System Information as it is described in Acronis Help Post. Find the full version name and build number as it is shown here; Send all the collected files and information to support@acronis.com along with the link to this thread. We will investigate the problem and try to provide you with the solution. Thank you. -- Alexey Popov

Alexey, thanks for the instructions. My scheduled backup runs at 2:00am so I'll let you know if your procedure fixes the problem tomorrow.

Ian_H, TI 8 did have scheduling built in. Was the personal edition a "Lite" version which did not have scheduling ?

I downloaded an updated version of the program and the scheduling works fine now. Thanks
