Well guys it has been an extraordinarily busy couple of months here which explains why i haven't had the chance to visit here much recently - there's no rest when you've got plans like ours! :). In the next couple of weeks we'll have updates for both Port Explorer and ProcessGuard ready for beta testing. We've put a lot of work into these updates, but we'll be making them available 100% FREE to all licensed users. However, first we need to test them, so licensed users are invited to join the test by emailing their Port Explorer and/or ProcessGuard serial and full name to admin (at) diamondcs.com.au. We've decided to make this an open beta test, so any licensed ProcessGuard/Port Explorer users are free to join in if they like!

    Also just around the corner:
    - A brand new website built from the ground up which not only offers more but it also makes it easier to find what you need
    - A brand new program!!! It is essentially complete but we're keeping the lid on this one for now until the new website is up and running, but we can say that it'll help you out in more ways than one and could prove to be our most useful program yet :)

    Great news!

Now, this is probably a stupid question, but where do I find the keyfile?
When I registered PG and PE I used the unlock codes provided at diamondcs members page. I cant find any .pkf .kf or .key related to PG or PE on my computer.
Or do you mean that I should post the unlock code?

    Hi sukarof,
Not a stupid question at all - perhaps it was stupid of me to use the word keyfile instead of serial? Force of habit :). I've changed my post to reflect that.

Yes, all you need to send is your serial, which you can send as a keyfile (ie. a text file), or simply copy and paste it into your email. We just need that as well as your full name (as used when registering) to confirm that you're a registered user. :)

    Well, I guess I can spare a hint ... :)
    - lots of new features based on user requests, mostly from the sticky thread here in this forum.
    - bug fixes for essentially all documented bugs.
    - lots of new minor features.

Basically there are no big new major features in these new versions because there was no real need for them, but we wanted to add as many good user-requested features as we could (and there've been quite a few!), as well as fix known bugs, and ice the cake with a couple of new features that we thought of that we know users will really enjoy.

    Best regards,
    Wayne

I don't know who test this is talking to LOL

I found both my PG LIc's but am not sure if I only have to send e-mail with one or both. Then seperate e-mail for PE.

I guess I will send all three, what the heck huh?

To clarify, all of our previous beta tests have been closed - available to only a select few. For this beta release we decided to open it to ALL registered members - just another little advantage of being a registered member. :)

We've also had a couple of people emailing us to check on the status of the release, so can I please point you to this sentence from my first post: "In the next couple of weeks we'll have updates for both Port Explorer and ProcessGuard ready for beta testing."
We may have one test ready before the weekend but next week is looking the most likely, but we wanted to give advance notice so as to allow time for as many people as possible to get involved with the new releases, so please just be patient for a little longer and you'll receive an email from us soon. :)

    Thanks guys

Sounds like good stuff coming, Wayne! One thing, I'm licensed user PG and PE on Win2000, but I'm testing now Win 2003 Server and hope to switch my OS over to that. Are any of the versions you are talking about OK to put on Win 2003 Server?

Should people sending emails receive an acknowledgement or should they wait till next week before checking to see if their message was received?

    Hi! Everyone,

First I would like to say...I may be an infreguent poster...but I do visit often and usually find what I need. Thanks for being here!!

Now...where EXACTLY can I find the serial?? Been to the Members Area and searched high and low in the directories. All I've found was a customer number for Port Explorer. Really Dumb...I know.

But I've had sys problems because of a bad prog install and I am still doing damage control. I lost entire programs which I did post about here.

So I don't know if what I am looking for is missing or that I am just blind.

    Thanks

Sorry if this is a stupid question but the serial code is the unlock code found on the webpage as opposed to the order number sent in the email when I bought the software?

    Thanks,

    Chris (Hunt)

Yes, an email was sent out 10 days ago about a new beta of Port Explorer - the full version (2.1) has now been released. Not heard anything yet about Process Guard though.

Could still be awhile on PG . A few things were found that are being worked out . Rest assured they are HARD at work with this one . Just some unforseen circumstances . All is well though . Could be out anytime .
