I read some posts about this firewall. Generally people liked it. My local Best Buy, a computer store chain has a deal. After rebates, the virus scan 2006 and the 2006 firewall plus is about $5. Really tempting.

    Your experiences, take...

    Thanks,
    B.

Hi, I got it for free through my Internet Service Providers subscription... called Comcast. I liked the firewall, didn't try the antivirus. I mean it was ok, but I wouldn't recommend it if its real expensive. But that sounds like a great deal. I am now using Outpost Firewall Pro and my antivirus is NOD32. 2 of the best products around for todays Internet threats :)

    Take care,

    Gracie

I have been with McAfee for many-many years. I find it to be very effective at protecting machines from security breaches, privacy issues and malware. If you get the McAfee SecuritySuite 2006, you will have many tools to lockdown your machine.

The website is http://www.mcafee.com and you can learn about this quality company that offers protection to every type of threat. 100 million users and counting! The Government, Schools, Networks, Businesses and Homes are covered.

Their Anti-Spyware scanner works very well too. They offer the 'FreeScan' online tool and the free 'Stinger Tool' for trojan removal.

    :D

My ISP, Comcast, offers it free to its customers. Happy with it so far.

On the Family Machine same for me. Certainly worth a try if you have no firewall beyond Windows one. You have nothing to lose. ;)
