well i protected my computer for when my aunt comes over.

    i enabled spywareblaster 3.4 and spybot on the guest account. Locked the Host files and i'm going to ask her if she could use firefox. I also got MSAS enabled on it for some reason it was not. hmm. anything else i should do??

    Just make sure your av and firewall is active and granny should be alright unless she is a high risk surfer? ;)

    i have windows firewall enabled *my mom somehow kills any othe firewall idk howo_O?* and i have norton 2005 anti virus enabled. idk if she is. i just want the computer safe for her and us. i'm going to have to teach her to use firefox.

    A simple, effective solution would be for you to install Deep Freeze (60 day) demo and uninstall it when the door hits her derrière. If you cant live with that you should have her use Opera browser as it requires fewer security updates than Phoenix.

    If you haven't already done so you might want to post in the firewall forum. Someone may have ideas as to how to prevent Mom from messing up your firewall.
