I agree that if you had to pick one program instead of having a layered defence it would have to be Kaspersky Antivirus

a question i wish i knew the answer to trillion - at the end of the day you will have to suck and see - what works for one doesn't necessarily work for another.

there are plenty of free trials - checkout this thread where people give their big four.

Mine is a bit cheeky and a touch fun, KANOTIX 2005-3 LiveCD.

Take Care,
TheQuest

PS: Running it now, ShieldsUp says it is full stealth [true] and see my browser as Mozilla/4.0 Windows 98. [ untrue ]

I know, but a BootCD is as close as I think you can get.

I have tried many as well but just like Kanotix so, Running LiveCD x64 Version toram.

The reason I am playing with it now is because of a post on the Ti forum.

TheQuest

I just had the latest commercial version of Novel desktop linux mailed to me as a promotion (still receiving stuff from when I had my shop) I might do a little partitioning and install it. It is three cd's, lots of software to play with.

Hmmm...if you never downloaded, installed or saved stuff to your computer...then DeepFreeze would have to be the best.

Of course the first criteria rules almost everyone out
