I am porting our existing server to totally new hardware (existing IDE drives to new SATA drives, new motherboards etc.). Created an image of our server and got is sucessfully installed on the new box but when booting, the startup screen comes up and blue screen with "INACCESSABLE_BOOT_DEVICE". I did not format the new drive before installing the image. I did not use sysprep as there seems to be some debate as to whether it is required to move an os (the old box will be taken off the network). Where to I go from here?

Hello bigbeam,
Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software. We do not guarantee that you will be able to boot the cloned computer if the hardware is different. I would recommend that you perform Repair Installation of Windows after you cloned the drive. It will certainly help you. The link to the corresponding article in Microsoft Knowledge Base is contained in Acronis Help Post. Thank you. -- Ilya Toytman
