Anyone else finding that it's difficult sometimes to update Adaware SE? Lately it seems that their servers aren't connecting a lot of the time. Is this some secret ploy to persuade people to pay for the full version?

Yeah I have gotten that error too lately. No problem if you manually download the .ref file though.
I'm guessing they have issues with their update servers.

Latest definition file:SE1R54 14.07.2005 >> http://download.lavasoft.de.edgesuit...ublic/defs.zip
Just copy it into your program files\lavasoft folder and replace the existing one.

Hmm.. Seems like the manual download I linked to is a little old.
I just tried updating from Ad-Aware and I actually got through to an update ![]()

It finally worked for me. I guess their servers were either down or overloaded. Paid subs. probably get priority anyway.

Try
1- make sure that is no program is running or scanning(close all running programs). then try update and wait a while. try again and again if necessary 2-and/or delete defs file from adaware folder and open adaware> error will show click ok> check for update |
