The last time I checked(v2006) it felt very heavy comparing to NOD32, DrWeb or F-Prot. But if you have a fast computer I think you'd be aright.

Trust most F-Secure for Antivirus and Zonealarm for the Firewall.

hi

he talk about F-Secure Client 6 not F-Secure 2006

F-Secure Client 6 very lighter than F-Secure 2005 and F-Secure 2006
F-Secure Client 6 work very fast with old computer like P3
F-Secure Client 6 is very good antivirus and firewall

i agree with Technodrome, i tried the f-secure client but its too much for older systems compared to something like nod32 and ZA. the computer i tried f-secure on was a celeron (700mhz) and on a clean install, the mouse ghosted and barely moved. perhaps it has to do with the settings or its an old comp like i said?

Are you a home user? Remember that F-Secure Client Security is a business product, and I think you have to buy a least 5 licenses at a time.

I know. I just referred to it as 2006 version. Overall it was very heavy on my machine.

well yea, it was just a trial. often times corporate AVs have a leaner interface so i decided to try it.

I simply use NOD32 with Kerio Personal Firewall. Good enough - Not a single malware infection or hacker attack since installing Kerio

We use F-Secure AntiVirus Client Security v6 to protect our office PCs. I happened upon this thread, so I thought I would respond with some of my observations with the product.

FSAVCS6 is the very best all-in-one security suite I have ever used and that includes Norton, McAfee and ZA's security suites. That said, it is definitely not light on resources! Our newer PCs with Prescott P4s and at least 512MB RAM have no problems whatsoever running it. But it substantially drains the resources of our older PCs (early vintage P4s with but 256MB RAM).

Bottom-line: If you have a newer (robust) PC, then it's a great security suite. However, if your PC is in the category of our older PCs, it's performance will suffer with FSAVCS6.
