I need a translation for 525,828 kb's into megabytes. I only know megabytes, I don't know what kb is, or giga bytes, are, or gightz etc: Can someone tell me, how many of which makes the other? I had a list of each a long time ago, but not now.
Thanks

I always thought 1,000 kb's is 1 MB, so therefore 525,828 kb would be 525 MB's.

1024 is the correct conversion factor -- note that this only applies to computer-related things (probably because it's a power of 2), elsewhere "kilo" means a thousand, "mega" a million etc. A kilometre is 1000 metres, for instance, approximately 0.61 mile.
And of course if you only need a rough "ballpark" answer, 1000 as a conversion is good enough and much quicker and easier to do by sight.
