I have used four different versions of panda. Titanium, platinum 6 and platinum 7 and also panda internet security 2005. Panda has a very decent detection rate of virus and other malware. The only problem I can see with panda is that it does take a fair amount of resources. Especially if you are useing tru prevent, it increases the resource use quite a bit.

Yea I used to use Panda, but I got rid of it because of it resource takeup it did on my system. Nice protection, but just way to resource hog.

I also have to agree. Panda Platinum 7 wasn't bad, but Panda IS 2005 with TruPrevent is a resourse hog. It slowed my computer down to a crawl.

I have been using KAV 5 for a while and have just recently switched to NAV 2005. No slow downs with either of those on this computer. If Panda, KAV and NOD32 are your options, I'd go with KAV.

I'd rather only recommend KAV after the 2006 version has released, because of KAV 5's mixed opinions.... But take my word, KAV 2006 is looking VERY good.

BTW, does anyone have experience with Panda Titanium 2005? Its available real cheap here, you see - one of my friends could use it

I'm personally very happy with NOD32, and intend to stick to it.

Nope. But I think it should release in Q3 this year.

You can also look in the Kaspersky Labs Forum for updates, releases, questions.

I used to use it and liked it, it just took to much system resources and slowed my pc down alot. And it wasnt that stable on my computer either
