Attachments??
I have 1MB of attachments in 'Private Messages'/Miscellaneous/Attachments??...how can they be deleted please, and can an Attachment be sent in a PM, if so how please, I can't find anything about this.......

We don't delete old attachments as many of them may well be required to maintain the integrity of the information posted in old threads. (For example, someone asks you a question and part of your answer is a screen shot. If you were to delete that attachment now, it could ruin the value of that answer. Just because something wasn't posted recently doesn't mean there aren't people still searching for the same answer who'd benefit from having that image still there.) So in any case, you can't delete old attachments.
As for PMs, you can't send attachments in PMs (ie. not the same type of uploaded attachment using the forum's "Manage Attachments" button). If you want to pass an image via PM, you'd need to upload the image to a webserver somewhere, like those free image hosting services, and use IMG tags to pass it. http://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=47613 http://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=64735 |
