Hi everybody,
I recently had to reinstall my pc (Sony Vaio PCV-LX2, 1.4GH, 512Mb) The "bare" installation works fine... Yet, after I install True Image 8.0 (build #826, 2005-04-11) I've noticed that WinXp automatically reboots after shutdown .The only way to actually "shutdown" the computer is to press on the button and wait for windows to shutdown .So,m y question is quite simple: I never had that problem before (without TI) then why now? Can somebody help? Best regards, A. |

You could use System Restore (if it is turned on) to go back before Acronis was installed and reinstall Acronis with as few things as possible running in the background. Another alternative is to reinstall Windows choosing the repair option.

Hello shinjinrui,
Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software. Please reproduce the system crash and send the mini-dumps created to support@acronis.com along with the link o this thread. This will allow us to investigate the problem thoroughly. To enable mini-dumps creation please do the following: - Open Computer properties either by right clicking on My Computer icon and choosing Properties or by opening System properties in Control Panel; - Go to Advanced tab; - Press Startup and Recover Settings button; - Choose Small memory dump in Write debugging information box; - Close all the dialog windows by clicking OK buttons. This information would let us investigate the problem under consideration thoroughly and provide you with a possible workaround. Thank you. -- Irina Shirokova
