I don't think I would put to much trust in a test like that. They don't list test criteria or virus files used. besides any test that rates avg higher than nod is really in doubt as to it's validity in my opinion. And if that is the top ten, where is Kaspersky??

I guess F-Secure sort of counts, but still, #5 - come on!

AVG ranked #3?!!! EZ ranked higher than NOD?!!! KAV not even listed?!!!

    Sheer nonsense! Zero credibility.

ETrust above NOD32...Hmmmm.  o_O. Now thats curious eh?!. They must not of looked at EZAV 7 very closely. They claim it doesn't have a quarantine feature but if memory serves me right it most certainly does.

AVG is good, but not top 3. Maybe top 10.

EZ infront of Nod32 .. yea right..

Kaspersky not even on there   And they are the top antivirus detection!

This is a site you should not rely on to get antivirus info in the future.

The criteria: probably the amount of click through revenue each one produces for that site.

Reviews 2005  Guess what, exactly the same rating order was last year (2004). And their review sucks big time. I contacted them about their test but they haven't even answerd me when i asked whee did they get such weird top 10 list and why worse AVs score better than NOD32. And why the hell is AVG in top 3  If everything was right, they'd answer me without problems.
Guess i nailed them with these questions...

EDIT: Just read crap review of avast! which is in the last place
The product is very easy to install and they gave 3 out of 4. WTF!?

One thing lacking in AVAST! Home edition is a script blocker. Many viruses take advantage of a PC's ability to run scripts.
One thing are scripts run thorugh WSH,other are script files like VBS (which are indeed detected in both editions).
They obviously have no clue about malware.

They offer online support in the form of a Knowledge Base Search and FAQs page.
Doh,where is famous avast! forum!?!?!?!?!? ANd email tech support which is also available for Home Edition users!?

AVAST wasn't as effective as some of the other products reviewed. For better virus protection refer to some of our higher ranked products.
Higher ranked? Like AVG maybe? They must be kidding.

It does provide good protection with the on-demand scanner along with the resident scanner. The email protection is adequate for POP3, SMTP,IMAP acounts.
What kind of prioduct overview is this!? o_O

Not much reviewing here. Show me an independant site with 'buy' buttons for every product. This is one great way to hide your intentions as a reseller.

This guy probably gets 1000 $ at month just due his advertising methods. I get from my google ads just some cents pro visitors  (so far I get in total about 60 euro at month from the google ads, thanks to the visitors that visited the google ads). Better 60 Euro than nothing ;).

The post of Vlk is very interesting. It clears up how they work.

Nah, please do not do that. "This activity is strictly prohibited in order to avoid potential inflation of advertiser costs." I do not want to encourage peoples to click on it just to get more cents. Click on it only if you really are interested and want to visit that sites.

Zero is a good point. "Negative credibility" for me. :)
