Default Dr. Web and NOD32 V2.5

Hi,

I have installed Dr.Web 4.23b in one Laptop PIV, 512MB in RAM, run good, but now like to switch at NOD32 V2.5....Like to know if would be best performace in my Laptop ? Think that NOD32 should use less resources but don't know, really I don't need great protection because we don't surf in Internet just have a lot Email traffic.

Thank you,

Dr.Web is lighter and almost no system drag.

Don't know about Dr. Web.... But Nod32 is the lightest i have used apart from F Prot( Which is the lowest of all )

And NOD32 provide better protection. Do a search on here. As we have discuss this many many times before.

That's a matter of opinion. Why not just answer the fellow's question? Or is the goal to start another battle of conflicting opinions?

BOTH are very light, and I'm not sure, but I think Dr.Web is slightly lighter than NOD32 2.5, but I dont think you are gonna spot any difference in performance, if you compare NOD32 and Dr.Web

Bottom line:- Get either one, and be happy

the lightest would be f-prot.then comes dr web and then nod32.ofcourse all have to be tweaked lil bit to achieve maximum system performance..
all the 3 are generally considered light..

I found F-Prot heavy. Often it's monitor would chunk my CPU up to 100%. Often, it would lockup games and other things. When I consider a AV light, it means it doesn't bug other programs, doesn't run high CPU times, etc.

Only Dr.Web fit the light bill for me, and i've tried em all.

The times I have used f-prot i never noticed that problem, It always ran very light and with no incompatabilities On my comp with any apps that I had installed at the time.

Ive used both on a p3 w98 setup and found them about the same with no noticable slowdown. However on my setup i couldnt get dr webs email scanner to work with my router , properly no matter what i tried.Be sure to trial both before buying.
