I know the story of how NOD32 got it's name. Now I'm curious about the word ESET. Is it an acronym for something? I know, I need to get a life.

Eset (founded 1992) is a anti-virus company with offices in San Diego, USA; London, UK; Prague, Czech Republic; and Bratislava, Slovakia.

NOD32 - the name of their virus scanner - is rated as one of the best at Virus Bulletin, and it uses advanced heuristics detection in addition to regularly updated signature files.

The company name is linked to the goddess Isis.

Wait a minute now. Don't I get something for asking the question in the first place. I think it was a pretty darn good question. Although I think I deserve a six pack, I'll take three cans and call it all square.
