    I have a Windows XP Pro system (with SP2 installed) and recently purchased Acronis True Image 8 (Build 764) but can't get it to work because True Image always hangs each time I try to make an image file with the message " Commit Pending Operations"

    I see in reading some of the threads below that installing "schedhlp.reg" may fix this problem but when I try to locate this file at the address publicized below ie http://www.acronis.com/files/support/schedhlp.reg I cannot find anything on that page (I get an Error 404 message saying that this page doesn't exist). :(

    Where can I find a "schedhlp.reg" and do you think that this will help fix this problem?

    Regards,

    Mel o_O

    Melvin, the latest build is 800.

    Quote "READ BEFORE YOU POST":

    If you face a problem with Acronis software, please download and install the latest build of the product available at http://www.acronis.com/support/updates/. To get access to updates you should register your software first at http://www.acronis.com/registration/. Please don't forget to disable any download managers, internet download/connection boosters, etc. before the download.

    You can apply the update to the current installation but the best way to proceed with updating the product is:
    - completely uninstall Acronis True Image from your system and reboot the computer;
    - carry out a clean installation of the latest build you have downloaded.

    Hello Melvine,

    Download and install the latest build as suggested by MiniMax.

    However if you want to try the reg file fix, copy the following text into Wordpad and save it as schedhlp.reg with the "Save as type:" set to "Unicode Text Document":

    After it's saved just right click on the file and select "Merge".

    Regards
