![]() I have just installed SpywareBlaster but I have noticed it does not stop the popup adverts from a website premium-offers.com. Does SpywareBlster run spyware itself? Maybe the site is not in the database yet? |

I don't think SpywareBlaster stops pop-ups (yet?).
"By setting a "kill bit" for the CLSIDs of spyware ActiveX controls, it prevents the installation of any of them from a webpage. " May I recommend using Adshield for the control over pop-ups. Regards, Pieter

some things you can do: in your privacy settings in internet explorer/tools/options, you can set it to block both first and third party cookies. also, you could use "spybot s&d" and/or adaware to remove spyware. http://spybot.eon.net.au/ there are various programs to stop pop-ups; agnitum's outpost firewall is one http://www.agnitum.com/ . here are some links to some info http://lists.gpick.com/pages/Spyware_Info~Tools.htm http://www.staff.uiuc.edu/~ehowes/resource.htm you could also look at the grc newsgroup forums http://grc.com/default.htm .
