Sure . pcIP can work with most . I run it with Outpost . No problem . It will work with ZA and most others . You are not a pest . You want the best info to help you make a decision . No problem . LnS is very good and should also work with pcIP .

pcIP also works with CHX-I Packet Filter, 8Signs and Tiny as far as I am aware of. I have used it with all of them, including Look 'n' Stop and Outpost. Firewall wise I would have to recommend Outpost if you are wanting a firewall with application-rules. If you are not needing a firewall with any sorts of component control, I would suggest CHX-I Packet Filter.

Re: The best Firewall?Look"n"stop, the end!

I thought this is a LnS forum?,who cares about other firewalls!,the Admins of this site should put a stop to this! And move it to other firewalls.Really sick of people coming to the LnS thread and talking about other firewalls,LnS is the best!So why don't you people, who don't like look"n"stop" go somewhere else but here!

    You are right it is.

    They should.

I missed where anyone said they didn't like look 'n stop in this thread. Please feel free to point this out.

I think maybe the user posted in the wrong forum by accident or maybe by misunderstanding. Hopefully the mods will move this though since user says he is looking for best firewall and not inquiring directly about look 'n stop.

    Thanks,

    Chris

As requested above, this thread has been moved from the LnS English Forum to the Other Firewalls section.

Well this is a hard question. If you want the best firewall then look 'n stop is probably the best one if you look at leaktest results. Also one of the more difficult to configure for your average home user (IMO). I think Outpost 2.5 is not hard to configure for average home user and does almost as well as look 'n stop on the leaktests.

It is almost like the old question what is the best AV. Everyone has their own opinion. Same with firewalls. It has been said before that the best firewall is the one you feel does the job you need and you feel comfortable using.

    Hope this helps,

    Chris

It appears that dagolag has another thread about the same question here . Maybe these should be merged or this one closed? Just a suggestion.

    Thanks,

    Chris

    Thank you Chris,

dagolag, since you do have another thread going on the same topic; to avoid confusion with two threads receiving replies, I will lock this one now.

Please continue in your other thread which Chris12923 has linked to.

    Regards,

    snap
