I've bounced around, but always go back to Visnetic. Currently running

Visnetic 2.2.6

and love it.

Hi ,

I am presently using both Norton 2005 Firewall and Antivirus. I am also using a dial up connection.......... ( AOL 9.0 ) . Both programs have deactivated 3 times since late December. Anyone else having this problem ? The last time that this happened, about a week ago, Symantec tech support had me download a small " fix " for this issue. I hope it works as I am really fed up at this point !!

Out Post Pro: Lifetime upgrade and I needed to replace ZoneAlarm Pro it was getting a little bloated and the product seemed to b going in reverse.

Also on family Machine Norton Personal Firewall 2004: I stood a long time in that store attempting to decide if to buy...Norton ...well I gave into the price... marked down and after rebate only $14.93

I am also behind a wireless router.

I've used ZA pro for years with few problems, mostly with XP home.

I recently purchased a gaming PC for EQ2 and i'm running XP Pro SP2. ZA
Pro crashes repeatly (2-3 times a day), plus i get occassional BSODs.

Not to diss ZA...but i think there may a serious issue with ZA Pro and XP Pro SP2...other people have posted similar comments on cnet and other forums.

Caveat emptor as they say.

I am currently using Sygate Free, was using Jetico which too is a very promising firewall and the only reason I switched back to Sygate was due to the fact that stateful packet inspection has to be disabled for TCP and UDP for ICS NAT gateway with Jetico.

My vote goes for Sygate as well as Jetico, of the two, Jetico is much easier on resources.
