I use Gmail and the webmail at my forum. I do have a pop3 mail box which came with my old internet account but I hardly use it any more.

Foxmail work best for me. I use it with YPOPs! and FreePOPs for reading my web mail. I also use ePrompter as an notification program.

    OPERA MAIL
    Why?

    A Smarter Approach to E-mailing

Opera Mail is integrated with the Opera browser, and lets you send, receive, sort and search your e-mails quicker and easier than with conventional e-mail programs.

    Easy Switch
Imports all your existing e-mails and contacts
Supports multiple e-mail accounts, using both POP and IMAP
    Sort and Search
Full-text indexing of all your e-mails to help you find the one you're looking for
Search for sender, date, subject or content and Opera Mail will find it for you in seconds
Combine any variables to narrow your search
Click a contact's name in the contact list to display all correspondance with that contact
One-click access to threaded display all recent corresponance
Filter e-mails to display only those related to a certain topic or project
Label your incoming e-mails as important, to do, call back, funny etc
    Attachments
Attachments are sorted by file type for easy retrieval (images, videos, music etc.)
    Spam Filter
Filters out junk mail, and you can even train it based on your preferences
    Newsgroups and RSS/Atom Newsfeeds
Receive and manage incoming news with the same tools available for e-mails

I use Outlook Express. I know it's not very safe but I haven't found another client that does what OE does and is more secure.
I have gmail and hotmail accounts as well as pop accounts and newsgroups that I want to manage from one single program the way OE does it. If anyone can point me to another client that is capable of this I'll happily switch.

Thunderbird is enough for me : better, safer and faster than MS Outlook Express/200x.
Even better than the transparent windows of winVISTA.
